Experience Kenya through a series of Lectures and field trips on this Educational Cultural Study Tour. The students will explore the interplay of Traditional tribal-village cultures and contemporary cultures in the cities. The relations in tourism, ecology, politics, democracy, History, Geography, Health and economic development will be examined during the study tour. Emphasis will be placed on the role of intercultural communication in societies in transition. Field trips are planned to go along with the covered material during the seminars and lectures. The program fee covers tuition, full board accommodation, all excursions, and ground transport in Kenya. The program is designed for Universities, Colleges and professionals.
Birdwatchers enjoy looking at and listening to birds without hunting or catching them and kenya is a fantastic place for birdwatching and holds 11% of world's species. Kenya has a variety of Bird species, over 1000, in diversered habitats. From montane forest to tropical coast, in every conceivable altitude range: deserts, open savannah grassland, bush and scrub, lakes and mudflats.

DAY-01: NAIROBI / LAKE NAKURU After breakfast depart on a pleasant drive to Lake Nakuru with a brief stop at the Rift Valley. Afterwards proceed with your journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, famous as the home of thousands of lesser and greater flamingo. This park also provides sanctuary of Rothschild giraffe, black and white rhino and the elusive leopard. Arrive at the lodge for lunch thereafter, an afternoon game drive to see millions of flamingoes and a host of other bird life. Return for dinner.
Mount Kenya is a broad, large symmetrical volcano cone whose diameter at the base is about 12 km it was formed between 2.6 and 3.1 million years ago by eruptions of successive layers of volcanic lava and agglomerate from a central vent in the earth surface. Mount Kenya is climbed at all times of year if possible however it is best to try to avoid the two rainy seasons that usually start in mid March and lasts through till mid June. As on any high mountain, proper equipment is vital for a safe and enjoyable climb. Even with porters, climbers should carry some basic equipment with them at all times, including rain gear, spare jersey, water and first aid kit.
High altitude problems are caused through the inability of the human body to adjust to a through various forms to the often more fatal pulmonary and cerebral oedemus (Hape and Hace) the later being less common. Young males seem to be most badly affected.

No visit to the Maasai Mara or Serengeti can be complete without a trip in a hot-air balloon, which operates from the leading camps in the Reserve. Taking off in the beautiful early morning light and drift above the browsing game and have tremendous opportunities for unusual photograph. At the end of the flight you land on the plains where a champagne-style breakfast is served before you drive in a leisurely fashion back to your lodge or camp.
08:00 am: Leave Nairobi for L. Baringo. Picnic Lunch en-route. On arrival at L. Baringo in the afternoon check in Lodge. Those who prefer can organise for a boat ride to see the many birds on the Island. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: BARINGO / MARALAL / SOUTH HORR
07:00am: After breakfast, leave South Horr for Maralal. Picnic lunch en route. A walk after lunch through the most colourful town, before proceeding to Baragoi via Losiolo which is in the edge of the Great Rift Valley. Dinner and overnight at South Horr camp / Lodge.
